Safety Protocols

• Stylists all receive extensive sanitation training as part of their cosmetology education. They’ve recently been additionally certified in the Barbicide COVID-19 protocol.

• Chairs, shampoo bowls, countertops, cutting/styling tools, restrooms, and all other equipment and surfaces will be disinfected between each client.

• As always, you will receive a fresh drape, smock, and towels for your appointment. We continue to utilize a professional laundry service, which has the highest standards in COVID protocols for sanitation.

• Stylists will clean their station and immediate area between clients, as they’ve always done. In addition, a professional cleaning service is coming in twice a week to deep-clean the salon.

What we need you to do…

• Ensure that you aren’t exhibiting any symptoms of illness, nor tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks.

• Confirm that you haven’t had any contact with anyone else who has symptoms or a positive COVID test.

• Bring your face mask with you to the salon and plan to wear it for the duration of your appointment.

• Wash your hands upon arrival at the salon.

• Make childcare or pet-sitting arrangements in advance. Only clients receiving services are allowed in the salon.

• Practice social distancing & avoid unnecessary contact with others.

What else are we doing?

All stylists and front desk personnel are doing the exact same thing you’re doing — and more! We’re washing our hands before & after every client, utilizing anti-bacterial gels and lotions, and sterilizing all tools for extra time, just to be safe.

We’re wearing surgical-grade face masks, not standard over-the-counter masks. Because we come into contact with multiple people during our workday, the extra level of protection keeps all of us safer!

We’ve always prided ourselves on a clean, welcoming environment at Main Street Annex, but now we’re going the extra mile. This means cleaning more often during the day, and ensuring that everyone follows the Santa Clara County directives for salons to a ‘T’!
